ShareBased ("we", "us") operates sharebased.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. We designed this site to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare Pages) automatically processes technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps for security and delivery. We do not use this to identify individuals.
Email. If you write to hello@sharebased.com, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply and keep a record of correspondence.
No accounts, no tracking pixels, no sale of data. We do not require registration, do not run advertising trackers, and never sell or rent personal data.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site itself sets no marketing cookies. Essential infrastructure (e.g., Cloudflare) may set strictly-necessary cookies for security and performance. Third-party sites you visit via outbound links — including Amazon via our affiliate links — apply their own cookies and policies once you arrive there. See our cookie policy.

Affiliate links

Outbound Amazon links contain an affiliate tag so Amazon can attribute purchases; this does not transmit personal data from us to Amazon. Amazon's own privacy practices govern your activity on their site.

Legal bases and your rights

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we process correspondence under legitimate interests (responding to you). You may request access, correction or deletion of personal data we hold (in practice: emails) by writing to hello@sharebased.com. California residents have analogous rights under the CCPA; we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined there.

Data retention & security

Correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle your query and reasonable record-keeping, then deleted. We use reputable infrastructure providers with industry-standard security; no method is 100% secure.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
