Our approach: essentially cookie-free

ShareBased does not set advertising, analytics-marketing or social-media tracking cookies. We have no ad networks on the site and no third-party trackers embedded in pages.

Strictly necessary cookies

Our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly-necessary cookies (for example, bot-protection or load-balancing cookies) required to deliver the site securely. These cannot be switched off in our systems because the site cannot function safely without them, and they are exempt from consent requirements under the UK PECR / EU ePrivacy rules.

Embedded fonts

Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which involves your browser requesting font files from Google's servers; Google may log technical request data per its own privacy policy. No cookies are set by this on our pages.

Third-party sites

When you follow outbound links — including Amazon affiliate links — the destination site applies its own cookies under its own policy from the moment you arrive. Our affiliate tag travels in the link URL, not in a cookie set by us.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will continue to work. Guidance: your browser's help pages, or aboutcookies.org.

Changes

If we ever introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies, this policy and (where required) a consent mechanism will be updated first.
